Currently, there are 8.8 million uninsured young Americans between the ages of 19 to 25. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is extending dependent coverage to age 26 on September 23, 2010. The Getting Covered campaign promotes this extension by informing young adults and their families about how they can access the new benefit.
